Oxford Area School operates the Astronomical Observatory since June 2006. It houses the Meade 10" Schmidt Cassegrain telescope owned by the Science Department.

The observatory is available for our students, for students of other schools in the District and for anyone in the wider community. At Oxford we pride ourselves in this facility and we are committed to facilitate education in astronomy for all ages.

We organise observation nights, special events, night classes for adults and of course support our own Science classes. Individuals, both students and community members are welcome to participate in research projects that require the use of our facilities.
